The Village of Saignon
A charming, unspoilt village in an area of outstanding beauty. You'll need a car for longer journeys, but bicycles and legs are both great ways to appreciate the perfumed air and the local scenery.

Saignon has a wonderful bakery run by the lovely Christine, a tiny epicerie, two restaurants and a 'Table d'Hôte', boules court, village school and post office. Goats cheese, fresh salad, herbs and vegetables available locally.

A bit of history
For a tiny village, Saignon is full of surprises. There's evidence of settlement here from the Iron Age onwards. Walk to the Belevdere and enjoy its stunning 360° panorama.

The 12th centrury village church has many tiny side chapels with faded beautiful wall paintings.

The Abbaye de St Eusèbe, an historic monument, was recently restored and is the now the picturesque setting for exhibitions of art from all over the world.
