Sustainability at Le Domaine des Claparedes

We offer a cosy and stylish ambience in which you and your family can relax. At the same time, it is important to us to be environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Situated in the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, our natural stone houses were built and restored without using toxic or environmentally harmful materials. Since 2011, all houses have been insulated with double-glazed windows and doors to save energy. In the following years, we changed the heating systems. We use a CO2-neutral heat pump and wood pellets (renewable raw material). New pool covers with integrated solar panels heat the pools with solar energy.

To help separate waste, we have our own compost on site.

The houses are located in a natural garden with native plants and herbs that are insect and bee-friendly. Of course we do not use pesticides. The lavender fields are cultivated by a local farmer without the use of pesticides or fertilisers.

We use energy-saving household appliances with a high efficiency rating. We also pay attention to water consumption.

Part of the profits are channelled into social projects such as Unicef and Medecins sans Frontieres.
